Terms of Service

These Terms explain the rules for using SnappyPay. Please read them carefully. They form a binding agreement between you and SnappyPay.

Last Updated: 2 July 2026

1Introduction

Welcome to SnappyPay. These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain the rules for using the SnappyPay platform, including our website, mobile app, and related digital services (together, the "Platform").

SnappyPay is operated by Snappy Solutions ("SnappyPay," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

2Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. You also agree to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

3Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date on this page.

Where a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, for example through the app or by email. If you keep using the Platform after a change takes effect, that means you accept the updated Terms.

4About SnappyPay

SnappyPay is a fintech platform. We are not a bank. We provide access to digital payment and lifestyle services.

Where regulated services are required, SnappyPay works with licensed partners who provide those services. Wallet services are provided through a licensed banking partner. Virtual card services are provided through third-party card service partners.

SnappyPay does not claim to hold every regulated licence directly. Where a regulated activity applies, it is carried out by or through our partners.

5Eligibility

To use SnappyPay, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old;
  • have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement; and
  • use the Platform only for lawful purposes.

By using SnappyPay, you confirm that the information you give us is true, accurate, and complete. We may refuse, limit, or withdraw access where eligibility cannot be confirmed.

6Account Registration

You need an account to use most SnappyPay services. You agree to provide accurate details and to keep them up to date.

Each person may hold one account unless we agree otherwise in writing. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

7Identity Verification and KYC

Because we work with licensed partners for regulated services, you may be asked to verify your identity before using certain features or before limits are increased.

Depending on the service and the checks required, this may include your BVN, NIN, a liveness or selfie check, or other identity information and verification details required by SnappyPay, our verification partners, our banking partners, or applicable law. We may pause or limit services until verification is complete, and we may re-verify your identity at any time to meet legal and partner requirements.

8Account Security

Keep your login details, PIN, and one-time passwords private. Do not share them with anyone, including people who claim to be SnappyPay staff. We will never ask you for your full PIN or password.

You are responsible for keeping your device and contact details secure. Tell us straight away if you notice unauthorized access, or if your phone number, email, or device is lost or compromised.

Official channels only

SnappyPay only processes transactions through its official website, mobile app, and approved support channels. Do not send money, share account details, or trade through unofficial social media accounts, personal WhatsApp or phone numbers, or unauthorized agents. If anyone asks you to transact outside our official channels, treat it as a fraud risk and contact us at help@snappypay.ng.

9Wallet and Partner Services

Your SnappyPay wallet lets you fund, hold value, and pay for supported services. Wallet services are provided through a licensed banking partner, and that partner may apply its own terms, limits, and verification requirements.

Wallet balances are held with or through the partner in line with applicable requirements. We may apply transaction limits, holds, or checks to protect you and to meet legal and partner obligations.

10Supported Services

Subject to availability, SnappyPay may offer:

  • digital payments and bill payments;
  • airtime and data purchases;
  • electricity and cable TV payments;
  • education-related payments;
  • buying Gift Cards and selling supported Gift Cards;
  • airtime-to-cash;
  • virtual card access;
  • Cashback and rewards;
  • referrals;
  • scheduled payments and wallet balance alerts; and
  • other supported digital services.

We may add, change, or remove services at any time. Some services depend on third-party providers and may not always be available.

11Transactions, Processing, Failed Transactions, Refunds, and Reversals

When you start a transaction, you are responsible for entering the correct details, such as the phone number, meter number, account number, biller, amount, or beneficiary. We cannot reverse a payment simply because the wrong details were entered by you, although we will make reasonable efforts to help where possible.

Transactions may be successful, pending while we or a provider confirm the outcome, or failed where the transaction does not go through. Some transactions rely on confirmation from a third-party provider, and that confirmation can be delayed.

If a transaction fails and your wallet was debited, the amount is generally refunded or reversed to your wallet, subject to confirmation. Timing can depend on the relevant provider or partner.

If you make a duplicate payment, please contact support so we can review it. Some transactions may be placed under manual review before they are completed, refunded, or reversed. Refunds are made to your SnappyPay wallet unless we tell you otherwise.

12Gift Card and Airtime-to-Cash Services

Selling Gift Cards

When you sell a supported Gift Card, your submission is subject to review, and review is not instant. We may request proof of purchase or ownership, card images, receipts, or other information.

Cards that are used, invalid, already redeemed, stolen, or fraudulent may be rejected. Approval is not guaranteed. Once a Gift Card trade is approved, wallet credit or withdrawal may be processed according to the applicable product flow and any limits that apply. Rates shown are indicative and may change before a submission is completed.

Buying Gift Cards

Available brands and denominations can change. Once a Gift Card code is delivered to you, it may not be refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.

Airtime-to-cash

Converting airtime to cash depends on successful verification, the supported network, the applicable rate at the time, and successful processing. Conversions may be delayed, limited, or declined where we cannot verify the request or where a network or partner issue applies.

13Virtual Card Services

Virtual card services are provided through third-party card service partners. The partner, not SnappyPay, issues and manages the card.

The partner may apply its own verification, spending limits, fees, currency rules, chargeback rules, restrictions, downtime, and card closure rules. Cards may be declined or closed where required by the partner, a card scheme, or the law. You agree to use virtual cards only for lawful transactions and in line with the partner rules.

14Cashback, Rewards, Promotions, and Referrals

Cashback is shown in Naira (₦). Cashback, rewards, promotions, and referral benefits are subject to eligibility rules, qualifying activity, minimum redemption thresholds, campaign rules, and time limits.

Registration cashback is not immediately withdrawable. It can be withdrawn only once you meet the minimum redemption threshold. The minimum redemption threshold is currently ₦2,000, or any other amount shown in the app.

We may review, withhold, adjust, or reverse rewards where we detect abuse, fraud, self-referral, fake accounts, or activity that breaks these Terms or campaign rules. We may change or end any reward or promotion. Where reasonably possible, we will apply the rules that were in place when you qualified.

15Scheduled Payments and Wallet Alerts

Scheduled payments

You can set up payments to run at a future date or on a repeat basis. You are responsible for making sure your wallet has enough balance on the scheduled date and that the beneficiary details are correct.

A scheduled payment may not run if your balance is too low, if a service is unavailable, or if a provider or partner issue applies.

Wallet balance alerts

Alerts are provided for your information only. They may be delayed, missed, or unavailable due to network, device, or provider issues. Alerts are not a substitute for checking your balance and transaction history in the app.

16Prohibited Activities

You must not use SnappyPay to:

  • commit or attempt fraud;
  • use stolen, unauthorized, or fraudulent cards, funds, or payment details;
  • provide fake, misleading, or stolen information or identity documents;
  • abuse chargebacks or dispute processes in bad faith;
  • launder money or finance illegal activity;
  • abuse, exploit, or interfere with the Platform, its systems, or its security;
  • use bots, scraping, or automated abuse;
  • resell or misuse services in breach of these Terms; or
  • carry out any activity that is illegal under Nigerian law.

Breaking these rules may lead to review, suspension, termination, loss of rewards, and reporting to the relevant authorities.

17Account Monitoring, Suspension, and Termination

To protect users and to meet legal and partner requirements, we may monitor activity on the Platform. We may place holds on transactions or funds, request more information, or limit, suspend, or close an account where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, or a breach of these Terms, or where the law or a partner requires it.

Where we can, we will let you know and explain what you can do next, unless we are prevented from doing so by law or by a fraud or security concern. You may close your account at any time, subject to settling any pending transactions or obligations.

18Intellectual Property

The SnappyPay name, logo, brand, content, and software are owned by SnappyPay or its licensors and are protected by law.

You may use the Platform for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content or brand without our written permission.

19Privacy and Data Protection

We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable Nigerian data protection law. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, including licensed partners and service providers, and your rights.

Please read the Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described there.

20Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to help the site work, remember your preferences, keep the site secure, and understand how it is used.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if you disable certain cookies.

21Third-Party Providers and Service Availability

Many SnappyPay services depend on third parties. These include banks and the licensed banking partner, billers, card service partners, Gift Card partners, payment processors, APIs, telecom and network providers, electricity distribution companies, cable and TV providers, and other service partners.

We do not control these providers, and their systems, rates, limits, and availability can change or go down. Where a service is delayed or unavailable because of a third party, we will make reasonable efforts to help, but the outcome may depend on that provider. Service availability is not guaranteed at all times.

22Complaints and Dispute Resolution

If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can try to fix it quickly. You can reach our support team through in-app support, our Help Center, and live chat, or by email at help@snappypay.ng for complaints, general support, and legal notices.

We aim to acknowledge and review complaints fairly and within a reasonable time. Some reviews may take longer where we need confirmation from a bank, biller, provider, card partner, or other third party. If a complaint cannot be resolved directly, it will be handled in line with the Governing Law section below.

23Anti-Fraud, AML, and Compliance Reviews

SnappyPay takes fraud prevention, anti-money laundering (AML), and compliance seriously, and we work with licensed partners where regulated services are required.

We may carry out checks, request information or documents, delay or hold transactions, and review or report activity where we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering, or other unlawful conduct, or where a partner or the law requires it. These steps help protect you, other users, and the Platform. We may disclose information where required or permitted by law, regulation, court order, valid law enforcement request, fraud prevention, security review, compliance obligation, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, and property of SnappyPay, our users, partners, or the public.

24Disclaimers

The Platform and its services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the Platform will always be uninterrupted, error free, or available, or that every transaction will succeed, since some outcomes depend on third parties. Rates, offers, and service details shown on the Platform are subject to change.

Nothing in these Terms removes any right or protection you have under Nigerian law that cannot be excluded.

25Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnappyPay is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss caused by third-party providers, by network or system failures outside our control, or by incorrect details you entered.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, for example for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law. Subject to those carve-outs, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the Platform is limited to the fullest extent the law allows.

26Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to cover SnappyPay against reasonable losses, claims, and costs that arise from your misuse of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your unlawful activity.

This does not apply to the extent a loss is caused by our own fault, or by something the law does not allow us to pass on to you.

27Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These can include power failures, network or internet outages, telecom or provider downtime, natural events, fire, flood, strikes, civil disturbance, government action, or partner or third-party failures.

Where such an event happens, we will make reasonable efforts to reduce its effect and to restore service.

28Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute connected with these Terms or the Platform will be handled in line with Nigerian law.
